Karl Perron
President and CEO
With more than 16 years of leadership in enterprise software, Mr. Perron is an accomplished corporate strategist and line-of-business manager, and is recognized for his ability to quickly grow profitable businesses. Prior to Maxager, Karl was the Vice President and Managing Director for SAP AG's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) business unit which in less than one year has emerged as the global leader in enterprise compliance applications. Prior to joining SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance Inc., Karl served SAP's family of companies since 1995 in senior management positions at SAP America, Inc. in sales, outsourcing services, and professional services, and at SAP Labs, LLC. in the development, testing, and global roll-out of SAP software. He has also held senior management positions at enterprise software and services startups including Paymetric Inc.; Murray and West Consulting; GK Intelligent Systems; and BlueStar Solutions. Karl earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and completed an international business program at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.
Bruce Kerns
Vice President, Customer Support
Mr. Kerns' team provides the configuration, training and consulting services that maximize the value that customers achieve from using the Maxager solution. Prior to Maxager, Bruce was a Vice President of i2 Technologies, the leading supply chain software company, where he developed a new consulting alliance program for training, marketing and sales with a broad range of alliance partners. Previously, Bruce was Vice President, Business Development of Supplybase, where he created a reseller arrangement with i2 Technologies that led to a successful buyout by i2. Earlier, he sold and delivered technology and supply chain consulting services as a partner at Andersen in Silicon Valley, and he was CIO at Alumax, a multinational aluminum company. Bruce received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and his MBA from Golden Gate University.
Mark Shwert
Vice President, Strategic Services
As part of the founding team at Maxager Technology, Mr. Shwert provided the technological innovation in Maxager's prototype software and patented methodologies. Today, Mr. Shwert is responsible for building and expanding the product road map, architecture and design, and leads the strategic analysis to help customers maximize the benefit of Maxager's solutions. Prior to Maxager, he spent several years with the Cambridge Meridian Group as a management consultant specializing in strategic planning for multinational firms undergoing rapid technological change. Mr. Shwert is a graduate of Harvard University and earned his MBA from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School in 1985.
Zach Mided
Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Mided joined Maxager in 1996 to lead software development of Maxager's innovative methodologies for measuring Profit Velocity. He is currently responsible for product design and development worldwide, and oversees all technical operations in the company. Before Maxager, Mr. Mided served as a software consultant with Lante Corporation based in Chicago. Here he helped manage, design, and develop custom software for use in a variety of industries including Market Research and Analysis (A.C. Nielsen, iQuantic Buck), Advertising (Leo Burnett), Healthcare (Baxter), Publishing (RR Donnelley), and Commercial Software (Lotus and Powersoft). Mr. Mided received a B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1992.
Raj Valame
Vice President, Product Management
Ms. Valame is responsible for product vision, product deployment, and architectural direction for all Maxager products. She has over 10 years of experience in product management and application software development. Prior to joining Maxager, Ms. Valame was customer relationship manager within Tata-Unisys Consulting where she was responsible for delivering turnkey software projects executed in India, New Zealand, and the US for clients such as Cummins Engineering and Board of Equalization . Ms. Valame earned her Computer Engineering degree from University of Bombay in 1994 and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business in 2002.
Oliver Braun
Vice President, Europe
Mr. Braun joins Maxager from BearingPoint, Inc., the global technology and consulting firm, where he was responsible for business development in the process industries. Before Bearing Point, Mr. Braun was a sales executive at IBM responsible for key account sales in central Europe. Mr. Braun has an MBA degree from London's Open University and a joint undergraduate degree in engineering and economics from the University of Karlsruhe.
Baruch Saeed, Ph.D.
Vice President, Research & Strategy
Dr. Saeed leads Maxager's next generation product initiatives, guiding advanced analytics, patents, beta projects and product requirements. He brings his experience as Founder and CEO of Pometrics, where he invented a pioneering enterprise profit improvement solution. Prior to Pometrics, Dr. Saeed worked at the Boston Consulting Group in the areas of strategy and performance improvement, advising executives and leading teams across a wide range of industries such as technology, pulp and paper, appliances, automobiles and airlines. Dr. Saeed has a B.S. in mathematics from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley. He teaches graduate courses in Six Sigma as an Adjunct Professor at San José State University.
Rick Batty
Vice President, Operations
Rick Batty has over 20 years experience in high technology marketing and operations. Rick was previously Vice President, Marketing at start-up Radiant Logic and General Manager at ReSourcePhoenix.com where he led a team of 40 producing a CRM software solution as part of a successful IPO. Rick also has extensive consulting experience and started his hi tech career in marketing and product management at Hewlett-Packard. Rick also worked in project management at Shell Canada and as a research engineer in the pulp and paper industry. Rick holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Dave Westrom
Vice President, Global Sales
Dave Westrom currently holds the position of Vice President, Global Sales with Maxager. Dave has an extensive background in successfully leading sales teams and developing large, multi-national accounts in both start-ups and Fortune 500 organizations in the Enterprise and Industrial Software marketplace. Dave was previously a Global Account Director with SAP Americas, a role he assumed after SAP's acquisition of Lighthammer where he had been Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Accounts. Before Lighthammer, Dave was Senior Vice President of Invensys' Enterprise Integration Strategy. He simultaneously led the Invensys Manufacturing Solutions business unit as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Prior to Invensys, Dave was Vice President of Sales at Pavilion Technologies and a Principal and Vice President Business Development for Soft Systems Engineering. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Migo Hsu
Vice President Sales, Asia
Migo Hsu has extensive experience in management consulting, business development and marketing, as well as interacting with business owners and top management of diversified businesses. Before joining Maxager, Migo founded a consulting firm specializing in making strategic investments and launching new business ventures for various companies. Prior to that, Migo was the Executive Vice President of Panasia Media Group, a SoftBank subsidiary. She started her career as a project manager for an Internet company before shifting focus to business development and consultancy. Migo was born and educated in Taiwan. She holds a BA degree in Mass Communication from the Tamkang University and a MA in Communication Management from the University of Southern California.
