It is determined by combining margin data with production run-time data for each product to understand exactly how fast each product contributes cash to the business.   10. What data gets loaded into Maxager? Only 8 data fields are required to get started with Maxager. These include invoice data, basic product cost data and some production run-time data. At your option, your company may include additional fields of data to further enhance the power of Maxager in your company after you have proven the value of the service.

  11. How, and in what frequency, can my data be refreshed? Data can be loaded into Maxager via a Microsoft Excel template or through an XML data format. The frequency of data refreshes can be as often as you wish. Data refreshes are typically done via automated links after the initial data load on a weekly or monthly basis.
  12. How can I ensure the accuracy of Maxager's output? Prior to turning your subscription on, a Maxager representative will work with your team to validate the accuracy of the data output. Validation includes, but is not limited to, cross-checks against reported revenue, cash contribution, sales volume and pricing data.
  13. Do I need to have perfect data before starting? No company has perfect data. The goal is to get the most value out of the data you have right now. And then, improve data quality if and when doing so will help you make more money. Maxager's Fast Track process allows your company to get started by requiring only 8 data fields. These include basic invoice, raw material and production run-time data. Supplementary data values may be added to further enhance the value that can be gained by using Maxager after your subscription is up and running.
  14. What type of software, browser or hardware do I need? No new hardware or software is required to use Maxager. Subscribers simply need Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (or higher) and Sun Java Virtual Machine 1.5.0_05. Both may be downloaded for free.
  15. What kind of security is available? Maxager Technology employs the latest security technology to ensure that our web service, infrastructure and customer's data are highly secure. In addition to strong subscriber ID and password policy and enforcement, security features embedded in our service include a 128 bit secure link to your browser and a Global Digital certificate signed by Geotrust to ensure that you are communicating with Maxager. We also use the latest firewall technologies to block unauthorized usage. At the hosting center, state-of-the-art monitoring equipment prevents unauthorized access using a three-stage authentication system that every person who enters the center must pass through.   16. Can my company physically host the service? Yes, Maxager can accommodate customers who wish to host their own subscription. Many large corporations rely on Maxager's hosted web service during the trial period and then keep the service hosted at Maxager versus moving it to their in-house hosting facilities. Large or small, most companies tend to rely on Maxager's hosting capabilities long term.

Maxager is focused more on the strategic question of "what products should I sell, market and invest in," and works independently from scheduling and supply chain systems which answer the more tactical questions such as "when and where should I make this product;" and "which supplies do we need from our vendors."
  19. What resources are needed to get started? Getting your Maxager subscription turned on typically requires up to a total of 80 person-hours from your IT and business teams. Very limited time is required to maintain the service since it is hosted by Maxager and configured through a web-based utility. New subscribers can be trained remotely by a Maxager representative over the web, or by taking a self-paced training module online.
